For a wide-range of outdoor sports, from kayaking to biking to hiking, Lawson's Landing is a great starting-off point. The campground is bordered by acres of sand dunes and a long sandy beach.

If you're a hiker, you'll find lots of places to wander.  Bird watching is phenomenal in the winter when the birds take refuge along the shores of Tomales Bay. For nature lovers, there are hundreds of seals sunning themselves on the sand bars in the bay  as well the tule elk grazing on Tomales Point.
