Changes for Winter and Spring at Lawson's Landing


The campground will be open all winter but camping will be limited to the Seawall area and near the pier starting in mid-January, as indicated in the picture. We are working on the new campground layout so that we can get the rest of the campground open for business before summer. The bait shop will be open from 7AM to 5PM, except for Wednesdays when the bait shop will be closed at 3PM.

Tomales Students help the Western Snowy Plover



Mary Pepper's class all participated in picking up trash and observing the hard-to-see plovers through the binoculars and scope, as well as viewing an informational slideshow and engaging in plover related Q and A. The older boys helped to count and record the number of plovers and to dig a hole for a repaired interpretive sign.
