The photos on this page will change from time to time but I will try to show you some of the most recent catches. We only have an opportunity to get pictures of a small percentage of the catch and someday none of it at all so don't expect to see fresh pictures every day. I try to leave these pictures on the page for several days versus only a day or two on "Wheelhouse" so everyone has a chance to see their photo on this site.

This is a shot of a leatherback turtle was taken by John Davis while fishing off "Ten Mile" last Wednesday with Willy Vogler and Tom McHale.

Scott Benedict caught the first salmon on the bar for the year and it weighed in at 31 pounds. Also caught this week, yesterday, was the first halibut caught in the bay and it was caught by Dennis Rhodes and Bob LeDonne. So it appears our season has begun at last.

Bill Threlkel showing off his 23 pound salmon caught today, May 25, 2004, on Doc Blake's boat "Uncle Joe". The crew of three got their limits south of Point Reyes so maybe things are looking up.

Bob King weighing in his 20 pound salmon caught June 19, 2004.

Joe McGrath from Lodi with his 25 pound salmon caught Saturday June 19, 2004.

Russell Crawford caught his 24 pound salmon on Saturday the 19th of June as well. It was the better day of the weekend for catching.

Bill Plumb had a good day when he hooked this 28 pounder on Saturday June 19, 2004

Doc Blake didn't do all that bad considering so we'll give him his due credit for his 25 pound salmon caught June 19, 2004.

Tom Gerbi with his salmon limit weighing in at 23 and 30 pounds caught June 25, 2004.

A picture taken yesterday looking south from Duncan's Landing above Jenner and we could even see Point Reyes when we got a little higher.

Our "2004 Road Cleanup" crew getting ready to enjoy some cold cuts and Nancy's chili beans after tromping up and down the hills from Tomales to Dillon Beach. No great finds this year but a load of trash was collected and a good time was had by all. There were also some great deserts served thanks to the great gals we have working here and hardly a scrap was leftover.

Here is Willy and his fishermen son Cameron with his 44 and 22 pound salmon caught today July 7, 2004. It was a short day with their return with limits for Tom, Willy and Cameron around 10:30 this morning. Good fishing and catching for most of the folks today. This second photo is of Cameron's second big salmon weighing in at 45 pounds caught July 14, 2004

It seems like the landing guys know how to get the big fish with Nate Porter bringing in his biggest salmon ever at 46 pounds today. August 11, 2004.

There was an unusual catch by a crabber down the bay when he caught a pacific spiny lobster. This is not a sea story but he did let it go after making sure there were pictures taken.

Dylan Ruiz age 11 from West Sacramento with his first halibut and one that made the board at 20 pounds.

Ron Ruiz from West Sacramento here with his 26 pound halibut. My apologies to both of the above for being so late in posting their photos. These catches were on June 15, 2005

Jack Roacha from Roseville, CA caught this 31 pound salmon while fishing on the bar today. July 8, 2005

Sting Ray found on the front beach by Nate Porter which was chewed on by a pretty good sized shark. The Bodega Bay Marine Lab picked it up and said it was a big shark because of the spacing of the tooth marks. 2006

A picture sent to me of some nice clams taken earlier this season.
